The Apuane nature reserve is a territory rich of historical points of interest.
The Seravezza mountain villages and hamlets can be reached along practical trails surrounded by trees and woods, an ideal location for mountain enthusiasts.
For many years, Giustagnana village was home to the artist Lorenzo Viani. The village was depicted in several of his paintings.
The Romanesque parish church in San Martino alla Cappella, is famous for its rose window attributed to Michelangelo who chose the beautiful marble from the local quarries.
Furthermore, Seravezza is home to the splendid Palazzo Mediceo (Medici Palace) which has recently become part of the Unesco world heritage. It holds a permanent historical exhibition of various rural objects and tools which tell the story of our territory.
